Federated Farmers are looking for Surplus Feed

As you will be aware there has been severe damage to some areas in the top of the South Island with major flooding, farms still underwater and road closures preventing outside assistance, deliveries and pick-ups.

Additional stock food is likely to be required for farmers in these areas to get through winter and there have been many offers of assistance that we will be working through over the coming days.

We know that time is very tight for everyone with calving and lambing, and many of you will find you’re having to balance your own feed needs. Please ensure you have enough feed for your own animals before offering to assist others.

If you have surplus feed available or know someone else that does, this can be listed with the Feed Coordination Service by going clicking here and matched with a willing buyer in need.

Alternately you may have space for grazing which can be listed by clicking here.

If you are located in a flood affected area and need assistance with sourcing feed please register by going clicking here.

Or if you are looking for grazing please register by going here.

For those that have indicated you would like to offer a cash donation, The Farmers Adverse Events Trust will ensure your funds are spent wisely.

Thank you for any support you can give, and take care out there.
