This calendar is an amazing resource combining a huge amount of useful data into one essential tool for those seeking jobs in the south

The Ministry of Primary Industries (M{I) are excited to launch this new Southern (Otago & Southland) Seasonal Employment Calendar.

This calendar is an amazing resource combining a huge amount of useful data into one essential tool for those seeking jobs in the south. It combines: regions; industries; pay rates; months; roles; number of staff hired per month; peak seasons and employment platforms.

Who is this for

  • Any industries or employers targeting or supporting seasonal job seekers
  • Job seekers; students; seasonal staff; backpackers & NEETS
  • Career advisors; recruitment agencies and youth support networks

What do I do with this?

  • Email this to your data bases, colleagues and anyone who may find this useful
  • Share it in newsletters
  • Share it with your seasonal staff
  • Upload it to your website
  • Print it and put it on job boards or in staff lunch rooms

Thanks to those who contributed, this calendar aims to showcase the seasonal opportunities in our region, encourage seasonal staff to remain in the region and encourage employer collaboration.
