Out in the paddock or the orchard, help isn’t always close by. Having the right first aid skills can make all the difference in a time of medical emergency!
Join Dairy Women's Network and Hato Hone St John for an interactive, practical, and hands-on course tailored and designed with the agricultural sector in mind. This 4-hour course is ideal for anyone who doesn’t require NZQA unit standards to learn the basics of first aid!
You’ll learn how to:
- Assess for and manage dangers or hazards
- Perform CPR and defibrillation
- Manage life-threatening bleeding and shock
- Manage major injuries – including amputation, crush injuries, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, impalement, and internal bleeding
- Manage fractures and dislocations
- Identify mental distress and build resilience
