Rural Support Podcast Series Launches

Rural Support Podcast Series Launches

Rural Support Trust is proud to have partnered with Fonterra and The Country to release a new podcast series.

The first of a four part series ‘Courageous Conversations’ was released on 8th April.  In this episode clinical psychologist and all round rural extraordinaire Sarah Donaldson talks through how you don’t have to be an expert to help someone.  She covers how to spot some of the signs of distress, start and conversation and support them to get extra help if needed.

We’ve all experienced at some stage in life a time where things felt overwhelming and reaching out for help difficult.  Sarah talks through how as a friend connecting with someone struggling can make a huge difference to their wellbeing and we don’t need to be afraid of reaching out or feel that we don’t have the skills to support.  Connection is one of the 5 ways of wellbeing and sometimes this can be just the start needed to help someone.

Rural Support want to help strengthen rural communities and this series covers a range of topics to help you look after yourself and others.  Keep an eye out each week for the new episodes.
