The Government is providing an initial $4 million to help farmers, growers, whenua Māori owners and rural communities mobilise and co-ordinate recovery efforts from Cyclone Gabrielle.

Cyclone Gabrielle has caused devastation across the upper and eastern North Island. This survey is design to collect volunteer information to be used to assist in the recovery from this event . 

Heavy rain and flooding across the upper North Island in January 2023 has caused significant disruption to famers, growers, and rural communities. Government is supporting clean-up, assessment, and recovery efforts.
